In a solemn reaffirmation of its enduring tradition of nurturing leadership and character, Sainik School Goalpara conducted its 62nd Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Session 2026-27 on 30 June 2026.
The ceremony commenced with an impressive ceremonial parade, which was reviewed by the Chief Guest, Col D K Vishwakarma, Principal. It was followed by an ‘oath taking’ ceremony. Amid an atmosphere of pride, discipline and solemnity, the Principal conferred ranks upon the newly appointed cadet leaders, symbolising the trust and responsibility bestowed upon them by the institution.
In his address, the Principal congratulated the Appointments on earning the honour, and exhorted them to lead by example with integrity, humility, courage and unwavering commitment towards their responsibilities. He also encouraged every cadet of the school to imbibe these qualities and strive relentlessly towards their ultimate goal of serving the nation by joining the Indian Armed Forces
The occasion was also graced by Smt Shweta Vishwakarma, the First Lady of the campus; Lt Col Pinaki Maulik, Vice Principal, accompanied by his spouse Smt Urvashi Maulik; Ms Nithina M, Senior Master; House Masters, faculty members and the proud parents of the newly appointed cadet leaders.
This year, a total of thirty-four cadets were entrusted with various responsibilities, which include ten School Appointments and twenty-four House Appointments. Cadet Md Azmain Metab of Class XII was appointed as the School Captain for the Academic Session 2026–27.
