It’s a matter of pride for the school that Cdt MU Harshitaa, Ex-SSGian (Admission No 6514, Class X Session 2020-21) has been recommended for the 150th NDA Course. She is 40th in AIR and 6th among the girl candidates. She has opted for Indian Navy and would join her course in the first week of Jul 23. Cdt Harshitaa joined SSG as a Cdt in Class IX. She was a promising student, known for her excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities during her days as a Cdt in SSG from 29 Oct 2019 to 31 Mar 2022. She secured 97.4 % in Class X Board Exam and emerged as the third school topper.
'Best Junior Debater' in World Scholar's Cup 2023 (Ajmer Round)- Cdt Jwngsar Goyary (VIII)
CBSE Cluster I and II Athletics Meet 2022-23 at St Xaviers High School, Bharni, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) from 9 to 11 Dec 22. SSG clinched a total of 27 medals and was awarded the 'Best Disciplined Team' Trophy along with a cash reward of Rs 5000
'Best Actor' award in the State Level Science Drama Competition held at Regional Science Centre, Khanapara, Guwahati on 15 Nov 22 -Cdt Anuvab Buragohain (VIII)
Third position in U-17 category of All India IPSC Chess Tournament 2022-23 held at Birla Public School Pilani, Rajasthan from 03 to 05 Nov 22
Runners-Up in All India IPSC Volleyball Championship (U-17 & U-19) 2022-23 held in SSG from 28 to 30 Dec 22
SSG contingent with Arms bagged the third position in 'Uniform' category during 74th Republic Day Parade held at District HQ, Goalpara on 26 Jan 23.
Cdt Debashish Das, Cdt Bhargav Jyoti Saikia and Cdt Prasurya Kakoti of Class IX emerged as the First Runner-Up and Cdt Jebash Talukdar, Cdt Priyashu Saha and Cdt William Singh Rabha of the same class stood the second Runner-Up in the “Beyond the Lab” Science Fair held as a part of the Udbhavam 10.1, Annual Technical Festival at Assam Engineering College, Guwahati on 17 Mar 23. They were awarded trophies, Certificates of Merit and cash prize of Rs.5000.
Cdt Bishal Singha (XI), Cdt Manjushpran Deka (X) and Cdt Rajbeer Dohotia (X) represented Goalpara District in Inter-District Basketball Tournament held at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati from 3 to 8 May 23. They have been selected for Assam U-16 Basketball team and they will participate in Youth National Championship at Rajasthan.
