SSG organised an awareness talk on ‘Adolescent Awareness and Responsible Behaviour’ in its school auditorium on 12 Aug 26. The session was attended by cadets of Classes XI and XII. The talk featured two distinguished officers of the Assam Police Service, Mr Abhilash Boruah, APS, Co-District Superintendent of Police, Goalpara West, and Mr Noopur Ranjan Neog, APS, Co-District Superintendent of Police, Dudhnoi, Goalpara. Col D K Vishwakarma, Principal, felicitated both the officers with traditional Assamese ‘gamosa’ and school mementos. Lt Col Pinaki Maulik, Vice Principal, along with members of the school faculty, was also present on the occasion.
During the talk, the officers sensitised the cadets about various challenges associated with adolescence, including peer pressure, interpersonal conflicts, responsible conduct and the consequences of inappropriate behaviour. They emphasised the importance of mutual respect, self-discipline, empathy and responsible decision-making, and advised the cadets to seek timely guidance from the school management to avoid unpleasant situations. The talk was followed by an interactive session, during which the officers addressed the queries and concerns raised by the cadets and shared practical suggestions for maintaining healthy relationships, mutual respect and bonhomie among students belonging to different age groups.
