SSG conducted a ‘Fire Safety Mock Drill’ on 28 Aug 26

In order to enhance preparedness and ensure a swift, coordinated response to fire emergencies, SSG conducted a ‘Fire Safety Mock Drill’ on 28 Aug 26 under the guidance of Lt Col Pinaki Maulik, Vice Principal. Prior to the drill, Sub Mehboob Khan, JCO, sensitised the cadets of the school on fire hazards, preventive measures, emergency evacuation procedures and the correct use of fire-fighting equipment.The drill simulated a fire emergency and involved the orderly evacuation of cadets and faculty from classrooms and staff from their respective offices. The exercise also included first-aid response, safe evacuation of a casualty, shifting the casualty to hospital by school ambulance and use of fire extinguishers. Addressing the cadets, Col D K Vishwakarma, Principal, urged them to remain alert, disciplined and calm during emergencies and to develop a strong sense of safety awareness, emphasising that preparedness and prompt action can prevent accidents from turning into disasters.
